Soccer Kids

The months of September through November, we pretty much live at the soccer field (at least several nights a week and Saturdays for games).  This year, Chris coached two teams again - The Belle's and The Cosmos.  Chris had a great assistant coach for the girls team, Brother Kevin Evers and they made a good team working with the little girls.  Chris loves to make the game of soccer fun and I think all the kids appreciate that.  There were some warm nights, but these kids didn't seem to care.  They were having a blast doing what they love!  It's going to be another great season!

Loren's 6th Birthday Party

Loren had definite ideas about what she wanted to do for her 6th birthday party.  She didn't want a typical 6 year old birthday party, she wanted to take a couple friends to have nails/toes painted and then wanted to take them for dessert at The Cheesecake Factory.  We decided to invite the mommies to join us so it was me, Loren and Morgan, Kaileigh and her mom Kristine, and Daniella and her mom Tabatha.

The hardest thing was picking out the colors of polish.  The girls were so cute, all giggly and excited to be doing big girl stuff.

The girls had their nail and toes painted and decorated with flowers.  They spent plenty of time drying their nails and toes and somehow, Loren managed to bump a toe and mess up her little flower design.  The nail lady was so sweet and agreed to fix the birthday girls' messed up polish.  After that, we were on our way to The Cheesecake Factory for dessert.  The girls were so cute and really just enjoyed being together and sharing this special day with Loren.  I love these two little girls AND their moms, so it made for a fun time for all of us.  And I love that Loren wanted to include her little sister!

Loren had a wonderful birthday and couldn't have chosen a more perfect way to celebrate her special day.

Loren is 6!

Loren woke up to balloons and streamers on her door the morning of her 6th birthday.  It was a school day, but we started off the morning early and let her open her presents.  I was still half asleep so the pictures are blurry.

One of her favorite gifts was this Rapunzel dress.  She wanted it so bad so that she could wear it on our upcoming Disney Cruise.  Grandma Ols got her the Rapunzel hair and the shoes to match.
Loren asked for lip glosses and yummy bath & body stuff.  She got both, along with a cute little cosmetic bag to keep it in.
She was dressed and ready quickly for school.  She was excited to celebrate her birthday at school with special treats (I cannot even remember what I made).  Grant was home from school sick that day, so he joined me and Morgan as we went to bring Loren her birthday lunch at school.  She had requested Carl's Jr and that is just what she got.

After school, the kids had taekwondo.  It's always exciting to go to taekwondo on your birthday because you get to be a black belt for the day.
We went to dinner and then mommy had to go to Open House at the kids school.  Daddy went home with the kids and when I returned home, we had the special dessert that Loren had requested...chocolate pudding pie.

It was a super busy birthday, but Loren was really looking forward to her special birthday celebration with her friends which would happen that Saturday.
